HKUST Start-ups joined the Eco Expo Asia 2019

The Eco Expo Asia 2019 was held on 30 October - 2 November 2019 at the Asia World Expo. Two HKUST start-ups, Acoustic Metamaterials Group Limited (AMG) and Ocean Science (Hong Kong) Limited (Ocean Science), participated in the exhibition to showcase their technologies and products.

Focusing on noise problems, AMG provides soundproofing solutions and products using “Metamaterials”, a new class of multifunctional materials. On the other hand, Ocean Science uses an environmentally-friendly and high-efficiency marine antifouling agent to solve marine ecological damage and other marine pollution problems.

Through joining the Eco Expo Asia, the two start-ups were able to expand their market reach and showcase cutting-edge environment protection technologies, solutions and products to potential customers/partners in green industry.

“There is no doubt that this event is of great benefit to us. At the Expo ,we can get more exposure and build up business connection,” said the company delegate of Ocean Science, “By talking with potential collaborators, we can deepen our understanding of the market, making us more determined to continue the green and environmental protection product line.” Cherishing the opportunity offered by HKUST, the start-ups are eager to join similar event in the future to promote their business.
